The Bachelor of Arts/Science/Commerce General/Honours Course shall cover a period of three academic years. At the, end of each year there will be Part I, Part II and Part III University Examinations.

Each of this papers will carry 100 marks including 25 for practical examination as prescribed.
Note:
A Candidate may offer Mathematics and Geography for the B.A./B.Sc. General and Honours only if she has offered these subjects at the Intermediate level.
B.A. General
Optional Subjects
A candidate for B.A. (General) Examination shall choose.
A) Any one of the following language and literature subjects:
Hindi, Urdu, Sanskrit, English, Bengali, Oriya
And
B) Any two of the following subjects:
1. History
2. Economics
3. Psychology
4. Political Science
5. Philosophy
6. Geography
7. Home Science
8. Music
9. Mathematics
As optional, students may offer only one subject which entails practicals.
COMPOSITION
A candidate shall choose either (a) or (b ) for composition
a) For Hindi Students : One full paper of 100 marks for each of Part I and Part II Examination.
OR
b) For Non- Hindi Students : 50 marks Hindi and one of the following languages of 50 marks for each of the Part I and Part II Examination Urdu, Bengali, Oriya, English.
B. Sc. General
Candidates shall choose any one of the following Groups:

Each of these papers shall carry 100 marks including 25 marks for practical examination wherever practical exam is prescribed.
B. A. Honours
Candidates shall choose any one of the language subjects under B.A. General A and any two subsidiary subjects under B.A. General B.
Note:
i) A candidate offering Honours in language subjects shall not
be allowed to choose any language subject as subsidiary.
ii) A candidate may study a language as an Honours subjects only
if she has studied it as an Elective Language at the
Intermediate level.
B.Sc. Honours
Candidates may offer any one subject listed under B.Sc. General as an Honours subject and two others as subsidiary. They may apply for Hons in more than one subject, in separate application forms.
