amshedpur Women's College was established in 1952 with the aim of providing the women of Jamshedpur a platform to shape their careers and lives. With time was the demands of the society and the nation grew and changed; Jamshedpur Women's College always alert and responsive to the contemporary need also grew and developed. The college has been graded B++ and the department of Physics is one of the six department to get a tag of "excellence" from NAAC (National Assessment Accreditations Council) in November 2004.
Electronics has become an all pervading essentiality in our day-to-day life. While the design and application of the concepts are done by a few specialists, the task of multiplying those and maintaining them necessarily calls for enormous manpower, skilled to handle those activities. The nation-builders and planners clearly visualize a void there. The Certificate course in Jamshedpur Women's College is a bold and committed step towards filling it.
The course aims at enhancing the skill base among the students who would meet these needs and become effective in shaping their own future and that of the nation through their learning and expertise in the field.
The course will be upgraded to Diploma and Advanced Diploma, to arm the students with higher levels of skills needed by the society.
The 1 - year certificate course has been approved by the UGC
and has obtained an NOC from the
Government of Jharkhand.
Eligibility
the certificate course may be pursued by those students already enrolled or due to enroll (session 2005-2006) for an undergraduate degree in the college. Students from all faculties are eligible.
