ARTS/ SCIENCE/ COMMERCE

COMPULSORY SUBJECTS:
01. One of the following Core Languages to be offered by all students   I.A., I.Com. and I.Sc.
i) Hindi A : 100 Marks
ii) Hindi B : 50 marks Hindi + 50 marks Mother tongue including Bengali, Urdu, Oriya, Maithili, Santhali, Mundari, Kurku, Nagpuri, Khaia, Kortha, Kurmali Panch Pargania, Ho or Alternative English.
iii) English: 100 Marks

ARTS

Students of I.A. shall study two compulsory and three optional subjects.
Compulsory
i) One core language
ii) One of the elective languages listed below:
Elective Languages: Hindi, English, Bengali, Oriya, Urdu, Sanskrit, Arabic, Persian, Maithili, Santhali, Mundari, Kurukh, Nagpuri, Kharia, Khortha, Panch Pargania, Kurmali.
Note: A student shall not study the same language as a Compulsory and an Elective Subject.

Group B.
Optional Subjects for Arts:

1. Economics, Math, Philosophy/Political Science
2. Maths, Geography, Economics/History
3. Political Science, History, Economics/Home Science
4. History, Economics, Psychology/Geography
5. Philosophy, Psychology, Political Science/Music
6. Geography, History, Political Science/Music
7. Psychology, Economics, Maths/Philosophy
8. Home Science, Economics, History/Maths
9. Music, History, Political Science/Maths.

Group C : Vocational Subjects (Self financed) :

Informatics Practices, Health Care and Beauty Culture, Fashion Designing.

Additional Subject :

Anyone subject from Group B not already offered as optional subject or anyone Vocational subject from Group C may be offered as an addtional subject.

About Additional Subject

a) A candidate can also offer an additional subject which may either be an elective language or any other optional subject having no practical in the case of Arts faculty.
b) If a candidate passes in all the Compulsory subjects and in only two of the Optional subjects of Group B she shall be declared to have passed the examination provided that she has offered an additional subject and has passed in it.
c) If a candidate passes in all the compulsory, optional and additional subjects her result shall be determined on the basis of marks obtained by her in the compulsory subject and three out of the four optional and additional subject taken together in which she has secured higher marks. The subject in which she has secured lowest marks will be treated as additional subject and the name of the additional subject will be mentioned in the certificate.

COMMERCE

Students of I.Com. shall study three compulsory and two optional subjects.

GROUP A COMPULSORY

i) Select any of the Core Languages (given under Arts)
ii) Accountancy
iii) Business Studies

GROUP B OPTIONAL

Any two of the following
1. CA (Commercial Arithmatic)
2. Economics
3. Computer Science
4. Entrepreneurship
5. Mathematics or Business Mathematics and Statistics

Additional

Students may also offer one of the optional subjects having no practical or a vocational subject given under group C of Arts as an additional subject.

SCIENCE

Students of I.Sc. shall study three compulsory and two optional subjects.

Compulsory

i) One of the Core Languages (given under Arts)
ii) Physics
iii) Chemistry

Optional

Any two of the following:
Mathematics, Biology, Computer Science, Economics

Additional

Anyone of the optional subjects, having no practicals or a vocational subject given under group C of Arts.
