Introduction
Jamshedpur Women's College was established in 1953. The college offers undergraduate and Post Graduate courses which are recognized by U.G.C. under section 12(B) and 2(F) of the U.G.C. Act. 1956. For all round development students are encouraged to take part in extra-curricular activities such as NSS, NCC, Rotaract Club, Science club athletics etc.
The College has been constantly supported by corporate entities like TATA STEEL and TATA Motors.
AIMS & OBJECTIVES
Ever since the inception of this college, attempts have been made to achieve a high standard of proficiency in under graduate and Post graduate courses.
With the change in the needs of students in recent times, the emphasis is now shifting to vocational courses. This college now offers courses in Nursing and Health Service, Biotechnology, Clinical Nutrition, Electronics, Environment & Water Management.

Eligibility
I.Sc. , I.Com., I.A., I.C.S.E, C.B.S.E., +2 (from any State/Board in the Country)
With minimum 50% aggregate marks for general students and minimum 45% aggregate marks for ST/SC students in the qualifying examination .
Students must submit attested copies of Mark Sheet, School/College leaving Certificate , Cast certificate , for ST/SC (Annexure I & II) with the application form. Original certificate must be submitted at the time of admission with -tree copies of passport size photographs.
Important points to Note
Please Note......
1. 70% attendance is compulsory.
2. No student will be allowed to leave the campus during College hours without the permission of the Principal.
3. Request for leave must be approved.
4. Stay in the Hostel provided by the college, is compulsory.
5. Strict adherence to hostel rule is expected.
6. Lapse in discipline on the part of any student will result in strict action against the student.
