Jamshedpur Women’s College located in the heart of this green city, is shaping the personality of the students of this tribal land.
The College was founded in 1953. At present it is a constituent unit of Ranchi University and accredited with B++ by NAAC. If offers U.G., P.G. and B.Ed. programmes along with several vocational courses and add-on courses.
Department of Psychology of the college has got under-graduate programme only, but it is involved actively in research and extension work. Add-on course on applied Psychology has been sanctioned and it is to be started this year. Seminars, exhibitions etc. are organized on inter College level on the topics like stress.
The department is conducting surveys on problems like suicide among adolescents.
