These courses are job oriented. They also teach self employment techniques. The academically oriented can pursue higher studies in these subjects :
Environment and Water Management (Honours) is a 3 years full time degree course sponsored by U.G.C. and conducted in Jamshedpur Women's College. This prestigious B.Sc.(H) course was. started here in 1996. The syllabus includes all environment related topics.
Eligibility is a pass in Plus Two or I.Sc. in any Science stream (any combination of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Computer Science etc.) with a minimum of 45% marks. Admission is based on marks obtained, written test and interview.
For subsidiaries, any two subjects can be chosen from Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology or Mathematics. The composition paper will be the same as for B.A. (General)
Annual fees of Rs. 5500/- can be paid in 2 installments. Examination fees of Rs. 500/- is to be paid once a year. Cost of separate prospectus with all details is Rs. 250/-.

The Dept. of Education of the College offers a course in B.Ed also.
